Foundations – Year 1

Learning Objectives:

  • You will learn that portion of Sacred Knowledge which fulfills the individual obligation (fardh al-ayn) upon you
  • You will learn to apply Sacred Knowledge in your daily life
  • You will increase in your desire to constantly better yourself and to serve the Muslim community
  • You will gain certainty in the word of Allah Most High and the Religion of Islam

Semester One

Timeframe: 10AM–12PM

  • Iman: The Foundations of Islamic Belief & Theology
  • Ihsan: Purification of the Heart – A Study of Imam al-Ghazali’s Beginning of Guidance

Semester Two

Timeframe: 10AM–12PM

  • Seerah: The Prophetic Biography & Shamail: Prophetic Character & Conduct
  • Islam: The Rules & Wisdom of Worship – Purification and Prayer
