Supplications After Salah

1. Immediately upon completing the prayer it is recommended for the worshipper to invoke Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) and to ask for His forgiveness by saying: 

أَسْـتَغْفِرُ الله (٣ مرات)

I seek forgiveness from Allah three times.

2. Immediately thereafter, the worshipper may recite the following supplication:

اللّهُـمَّ أَنْـتَ السَّلامُ وَمِـنْكَ السَّلام تَبارَكْتَ يا ذا الجَـلالِ وَالإِكْـرام

O Allah, You are the source of peace and from You comes peace, exalted You are, O Lord of Majesty and Honor.

3. The worshipper may recite the following supplication:

اللّهُـمَّ لا مانِعَ لِما أَعْطَـيْت وَلا مُعْطِـيَ لِما مَنَـعْت وَلا يَنْفَـعُ ذا الجَـدِّ مِنْـكَ الجَـد

O Allah, none can withhold what You have granted, and none can grant what You have withheld, and nothing can be offered by the rich, richness and fortune comes from You alone.

للهم أعني على ذكرك، وشكرك، وحسن عبادتك

O Allah, help me in remembering You, thanking You and conducting my worship to You in a perfect way.

4. Also say:

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْحَىُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٌۭ وَلَا نَوْمٌۭ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ.

**Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence.** Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

5. Follow with Aytul Kursi:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (٣٣)

Glory be to Allah (33x).

6. Then proceed with glorifying and praising Allah:

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (٣٣)

Praise be to Allah (33x).

ٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (٣٣)

Allah is supreme (33x).

7. It is also recommended for the worshipper to recite thereafter the following supplication: 

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

There is no god but Allah, He is one, He has no partner, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs praise and has power over all things.

8. Then, one raises their hands and supplicates for whatever they wish, beginning with praising Allah and sending prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

ٱللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ...

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. O Allah, send mercy and peace upon our master Muḥammad and upon the family of our master Muḥammad...

9. After completing the supplication - recite the following:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (٣ مرات)

I ask forgiveness from Allah, besides whom there is no other god, the Living, the Self-Sustaining, and I turn to Him in repentance. (3x)

﷽

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ١
ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ٢ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ٣
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ ٤

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,
Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born,
Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

Surah Al-Ikhlas

﷽

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ١
مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ٢ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ٣ وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ٤ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ٥

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak,
From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

Surah Al-Falaq

﷽

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ١ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ٢ إِلَـٰهِ النَّاسِ ٣
مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ٤ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ٥
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ٦

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
The Sovereign of mankind The God of mankind, From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws, Who whispers in the breasts of mankind, Among jinn and among men."
